Digital Photo Booth or Instant Prints?
Think about what guests should take away. A printed photograph gives them something physical there and then; a digital image or clip is designed to keep on a phone and share through the available delivery options.
When prints make sense
Printed photographs suit guests who enjoy a keepsake they can hold. They can also work with a guest book when that is included or selected in the package. A personalised layout connects the print to the occasion, whether it carries your names or campaign artwork.
Check the print format, how copies are handled and the hire hours. Do not assume that a guest book, extra prints or a particular layout is included in every experience.
When a digital experience fits
A digital booth can offer photos and, where supported by the selected package, GIFs or Boomerangs. A 360 is a different format built around video. Ask how guests receive their content and whether the chosen sharing route needs a reliable connection at the venue.
Digital does not necessarily mean unattended. Staffing and operating arrangements belong in the booking summary, along with the hire period.
Can we combine the two?
Some experiences can provide print and digital outputs. Discuss the actual package rather than assuming that every capture format supports every output. For a corporate activation, the artwork and guest journey should stay consistent across the physical and digital elements.
Make the choice around your audience
For a wedding, you might prioritise a keepsake and a guest book. For a campaign, you might focus on a recognisable branded image and an agreed sharing journey. Neither is automatically better; the right choice reflects the occasion.
