When Should Your Wedding Photo Booth Start?

Look at the whole evening

List the meal, speeches, room turnaround, evening guest arrival, cake cutting and first dance. A booth session that overlaps every formal moment may give guests fewer opportunities to use it. Equally, starting too late can miss people who leave earlier.

Separate setup from operating time

The team needs time to unload, reach the room, assemble the equipment and check the experience. Confirm the arrival window with the venue. If setup must happen before a meal but operation begins later, ask how that affects the schedule and quotation.

Put the booth where guests can find it

A suitable location near the reception activity helps people notice it. However, keep exits and circulation clear, and avoid placing a queue across the dance floor. Tell the venue coordinator where the booth is planned so any room changes can be discussed in advance.

Confirm the details together

Before the event, check the operating start and finish, room, contact person and access arrangements. Then make sure the venue and your other suppliers have the same version of the plan.
